Tottenham Hotspur started the Premier League season with the right foot, earning a 3-0 victory by defeating recently promoted Burnley.
The game, played in front of 61,077 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, gave new head coach Thomas Frank a much needed boost for the regular season.
Frank stated that he's very proud of his team's efforts to start the present campaign playing solid soccer, good enough for third place on the standings, just behind Sunderland AFC and powerhouse Manchester City.Tottenham, by the way, lost icon Son Heung-min after 10 years of glory.
Richarlison scores a magical goal
Tottenham Hotspur's Richarlison lit up North London with one of the most spectacular goals you'll see this season. The Brazilian forward executed a perfect overhead kick against Burnley, leaving the stadium in awe and happiness.
After opening the scoring early in the match, Richarlison linked up with Mohammed Kudus again on the hour mark. Kudus floated in a cross and Richarlison launched himself into the air, connecting with an acrobatic scissor kick that rocketed into the net.
The crowd erupted, teammates swarmed him, and social media instantly declared it the goal of the season. Tottenham cruised to a 3-0 victory, and Richarlison's strike is already being touted as one of the greatest goals of 2025.
