It's official, one of the Cleveland Browns' quarterbacks will be leaving; Shedeur Sanders is in danger

These past few months, the big controversy and drama has been at the Cleveland Browns training camp over the quarterback competition-especially because one of the competitors is the high-profile Shedeur Sanders, who was drafted as late as the fifth round, despite always being talked about as a first-round talent.

Shedeur Sanders throws to Browns star and gives Cleveland hope that he can play soon

Much has been said about Shedeur Sanders: that he may not have the ability to play in the NFL, that he may not be capable of understanding a playbook, and many other things. What is certain is that in the game we got to see him, he performed perfectly, put on a real show, and with two touchdown passes he led the Browns to victory over the Panthers a little more than a week ago.

Dillon Gabriel also had his chance and, although he had some great moments against the Eagles, he also lost two balls-one of them an interception that was returned for a touchdown. Despite all the competition, it seems that, at least for Week 1, the starter will be Joe Flacco.

Kevin Stefanski will cut a quarterback

At the moment, there are six quarterbacks on the roster, although one is Deshaun Watson, who is on the PUP list, and another is Tyler Huntley, who was signed a few weeks ago but will likely not stay with the team. The real competition has been among Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

During camp, Browns general manager Andrew Berry mentioned that they were open to keeping four quarterbacks on the roster. However, this Sunday Kevin Stefanski said it is very unlikely that will happen.

"I think we'll let it play out as we get closer to the final cut," Stefanski said via Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. "Those are conversations we're always having, but they're tough decisions. You know, I'd like to keep everybody, but it's not realistic."

The one we haven't been able to see in recent weeks is Kenny Pickett, due to injury, and he could be the candidate to leave the team. However, Shedeur Sanders has remained the last option on the depth chart, so it will be interesting to see what Stefanski decides in just over a week.
