What seemed like a tantrum turned out to be one of the funniest anecdotes of the summer in Barcelona. Matt Damon, while visiting the city, surprised everyone by leaving a note at the Denassus restaurant in the Poble Sec neighborhood that at first glance might seem like an insult to the owner: "F*** you Alejo, work harder". Far from it, the message from the star of 'The Martian', among many others, was a joke directed with humor and affection towards Alejo Mailan, who that night was not in the restaurant.
The American actor had come to the restaurant on several recommendations. Both the hotel where he was staying and the cab driver who took him to the city told him about this establishment. After dinner, Damon wanted to meet the people in charge of the kitchen, but he could only meet Sergi Ruiz, the other owner. Mailan's absence led to the note, written in the actor's own handwriting, which the owners were quick to share on social networks.
