The Social Security Administration (SSA) has made a major announcement by adding 13 new conditions to its Compassionate Allowances (CAL) list. This measure, which brings the total number of conditions on the list to 300, is primarily aimed at dramatically speeding up the approval process for disability benefits for those suffering from serious and specific illnesses.

This decision is of great relevance to thousands of people facing devastating medical conditions, as it seeks to eliminate the bureaucracy and long waiting times that often accompany disability applications. By including these 13 new diseases, the SSA recognizes the need for a swift and compassionate response.
